As part of Explori’s ongoing platform upgrades, we have made some changes to our email infrastructure to improve the deliverability and performance of post-event survey emails for our users.
Explori will be introducing a limit on the number of emails users are able to send out for “general” surveys.
General surveys are surveys that are sent under the type “a survey about something else” within Explori, i.e. not a post-event survey.
As of March 2024, a limit of 25,000 emails per license per year will be introduced. Post-event surveys do not count towards the email limit however, reminder emails will. For example, a list of 5,000 emails that is sent an initial survey plus two reminders will count as 10,000 emails towards your email limit.
For general survey campaigns where the emails scheduled will exceed your limit, your email will not launch, and you will be notified that you have reached your email capacity.
Post-event surveys sent from Explori do not count towards the email cap and reminders can be sent out as necessary. In addition, any custom research projects that are managed by Explori's research team are also excluded from the email cap.
As part of this cap, you will be either be contacted via email by Explori to provide details, or if you have regular account meetings with the Explori team, the breakdown of your email cap will be discussed with you.
To deploy a general survey campaign to a database that exceeds your email limit, we recommend the following solutions:
- Explori Recommended - Downloading the user links and send your surveys via your own email platform
- Send your email in your own platform via a campaign link
- Provide SMTP details to launch surveys in Explori but via your own server - this can be initiated by contacting mailto:support@explori.com
- Look to reduce the size of the list you are launching your survey campaign by creating smaller, more targeted lists or cleaning your database before
At present it is not possible to purchase more emails towards your limit. If you have any questions, please contact either your Account Manager or email support@explori.com.
