Previewing your survey

It is strongly recommended that you preview your survey before distribution to ensure that the logic is working as expected and there are no errors in the questions. Making the necessary checks is important with mistakes being noticed by respondents, reflecting badly on the event.

The preview button is found on the top of the page when you enter the survey builder and it will take you to the start of the survey, allowing you to experience the survey as your respondents will.

As highlighted by the red strip when previewing your survey, "The survey is in preview mode". All responses are marked as a test so they won't be visible among your live responses unless included.

You might want your colleagues to take part in the survey and give you their views on the user experience. This can be done by sending them the preview link;

You could also preview the survey by clicking on the print icon found on the right-hand side of the survey builder. This will give you visibility of the page names, the questions and the logic used (if any) so that you can have a full overview of the entire survey. This can more time-efficient than going into each question when building the survey. If you would like a paper copy of the survey, this is how you will go about getting it.
