Objective Success Score is a metric within Maxbi which gives an score based on how important your exhibiting objectives were compared to how well these objectives were met:
Objective Success Score is scored between 0 and 100, where 0 would be all held objectives were not met at all, and 100 would be all held objectives were fully met.
For an Objective Success Score that falls between 0 and 100, this takes importance of the individual objectives into account. In the example below, we will show the importance and success of a set of exhibiting objectives within a Maxbi entry to give an Objective Success Score.
In this example, we have chosen three objectives:
- Generating new sales leads
- Meeting / selling to current customers
- Launching a new brand / product / service
On the next screen, we have stated that the importance of these objectives are:
- Generating new sales leads - 5/5
- Meeting / selling to current customers - 3/5
- Launching a new brand / product / service - 2/5
And finally, we have stated that we satisfied these exhibiting objectives as follows:
- Generating new sales leads - 3/5
- Meeting / selling to current customers - 5/5
- Launching a new brand / product / service - 2/5
To put this data into a table, that gives the following:
Objective | Importance (out of 5) | Satisfaction (out of 5) |
Generating new sales leads | 5 | 3 |
Meeting / selling to current customers | 3 | 5 |
Launching a new brand / product / service | 2 | 2 |
To determine Objective Success Score, we will add two columns to our table above. We will give a Potential Score, which will be the importance score multiplied by 5, and an Actual Score, which is a percentage of our Potential Score based on the satisfaction:
Satisfaction (out of 5) | Actual Score as a % of Potential Score |
5 | 100% |
4 | 75% |
3 | 50% |
2 | 25% |
1 | 0% |
Once we have determined Potential Score and Actual Score for each objective, these are then summed and a percentage is then taken between the Total Potential Score and Total Actual Score - this percentage will give the Objective Success Score for your exhibit:
Objective |
Importance (out of 5) |
Satisfaction (out of 5) | Potential Score | Actual Score |
Generating new sales leads | 5 | 3 | 25 | 12.5 |
Meeting / selling to current customers | 3 | 5 | 15 | 15 |
Launching a new brand / product / service | 2 | 2 | 10 | 2.5 |
Total | 50 | 30 | ||
Objective Success Score |
Actual Score divided by Potential Score 30/50 = 60% |
In this example, Objective Success Score is 60. Note that the biggest "deduction" from a perfect Objective Success Score of 100 is from the objective "Generating new sales leads", which as the most important objective gives a larger deduction (losing 12.5 from a potential score of 25), rather than "Launching a new brand / product / service", which although performed less in terms of satisfaction, gives a lesser deduction based on the objective being stated as less important.
