Viewing, managing and creating new email templates to have consistent on-brand messaging
Why use Email templates?
Explori’s email templates allow you to efficiently craft consistent, on-brand messages that reflect your event’s unique tone, goals, and audience while saving you time on drafting emails for every survey. You have the flexibility to create as many templates as needed, whether that means developing a single template for all events or tailoring distinct templates for each of your events and portfolios.
Who can use this?: Email templates can only be created by Master users. If you would like to create a template but you do not have access, please get in touch with your Explori administrator. Once a template has been created, anyone with access to the distribution tab can use the email templates to send out emails.
Email templates
- On the Explori Menu, navigate to ‘Manage Templates’
- Select 'Emails' on the top right to access your Email templates
All created and available email templates will be listed here. You can can edit existing email templates or create new email templates from here.
Creating new / editing your Email Templates
- To create a new template, select 'New Email Template'
- Create your subject line.
- Fill in the body of the email
Tip: Your subject line will also be the name of the template
Tip: Mergefields are especially useful at this stage in helping you personalise your emails. They can be used when creating a template intended for multiple different events, saving you from manually updating your emails with the small details each time you use a template.
Setting up your Email Template availability
Once you have filled the body of your template, you can select the portfolios and event audiences you would like the template to be available for. Select save to activate the template. Once a template is saved, it is available for all the divisions and survey types you have selected.
Using your email templates in distribution
Once you have created your templates, you can start to use them for your surveys that you are distributing via Explori's email tool
Head to the distribute tab of your survey to start.
When creating the email for your survey, click on the Email dropdown option at the top and select the template you would like to use. From here, you can make any final edits to your email before testing and scheduling your send out.
Tip: Even when using a template, we always recommend sending yourself a test email to ensure that your email appears as intended.
