Explori has historically reported a single, long-term benchmark. Over the years, the performance of exhibition KPIs has remained stable. However, since the end of the Covid-19 pandemic, KPI scores for both visitors and exhibitors have increased and stayed well above pre-pandemic levels.
To reflect this shift, Explori is releasing a 36-month rolling benchmark. This new benchmark will provide a more accurate reflection of the post-pandemic exhibition industry and will be available alongside our existing long-term benchmark.
- When looking at the long-term benchmark, in the vast majority of cases, you will not see any significant difference in the benchmarking figures you have been accustomed to reporting.
- The 36-month benchmark will offer more relevant, up-to-date insights, better tailored to the needs of your organization.
These benchmarks will be available within your account immediately if your user account has been given access to Industry Benchmarks, for which the different benchmarking periods will be available within Reports and Dashboards:
Moving forwards, when Explori industry benchmarks are mentioned without referring to a specific time period, this will be the 36 months benchmark.
Overall Event Score will remain unchanged – the base of 50 will continue to be the average of all surveys for a specific event type and respondent type.
For more information on how the benchmarks are calculated, please refer to our Rules for Benchmarking article.
