Release notes - 6th November 2025
Version – 4.4.0 | Release Date: 6/11/2025 Release Type: Major update, Improvements, bug fixes
New Features / Major updates
Primary language selection when creating surveys
- Simplified the survey and template creation process by allowing users to select only one language (Primary language) at the point of creation. The list of available languages now adapts based on the selected template or previous survey, ensuring only valid options are displayed and can be selected.
-
This approach prevents initial survey creation with invalid language configurations, resulting in missing translations that are not explicitly obvious. After the survey has been created, additional languages can be added and the primary language configured via the settings page.
N0te: The list of available languages for selection will be filtered to the languages enabled on your client account. If a language you expect to see is missing please contact support@explori.com
Enhanced survey results export controls
-
Added a new question selection modal when exporting survey data, giving users full control over which questions are included in each export format. This update improves flexibility across aggregate (.xlsx, .pdf) and raw (.csv, .sss) export formats
-
By default, all questions are pre-selected for quick exports, but users can now deselect individual questions or use bulk selection/deselection options (e.g. quantitative, open-end, imported, or hidden questions).
Custom Metadata, Mergefields and Benchmarking (Beta)
-
Introduced the ability to create custom data fields linked to surveys or products, configurable at the account, portfolio, or division level.
-
These fields can be used as metadata to support segmentation and analysis (e.g. event_tier) or as dynamic mergefields within survey questions (e.g. [event_nickname]).
-
You can now associate survey templates to specific tags, ensuring only relevant templates are available for certain surveys or events.
-
Enable benchmarking for single and multi select custom fields, and view aggregate benchmarks in dashboards and reports for consistently asked questions.
Note: Please reach out to your account manager to discuss next steps for setting up custom tags as this is currently managed by the Explori team. Alternatively reach out to support@explori.com
Caution: Please note that benchmarking operates under fair usage limits, and Explori reserves the right to disable benchmarking for specific tags if fair usage is breached
Dashboard text widgets
-
Added a new widget type to dashboards which enables you to surface open-text feedback in event-level dashboards
-
Visualise open-text data as a list or as a word cloud, helping you quickly understand themes and sentiment across your respondents
Dashboard filtering (Beta)
-
Event-level dashboards now run on raw survey data, enabling data to be filtered directly by survey responses.
-
Filters can be applied to Dashboards via dropdowns and configured by respondent type, question, and filter type (single or multi-select)*
- Pinned filters can only be applied for questions that are present in the most recent survey for a given respondent type
*Note: Please reach out to your account manager to discuss next steps for setting up Dashboard filtering during the Beta phase as this is currently administered by the Explori team. Alternatively reach out to support@explori.com
